I understand this may be an inexpirenced question. However I’m just trying to figure out the best set up given the equipment I already have. Currently I’m running a 6 GPM machine- 3500 PSI.
I’m located in Canada and am just learning about shooter tips.( Sad I know, we’re very limited to equipment here) I want to set up my equipment this year do be more of a soft wash company when it comes to doing vinyl siding. I’ve been thinking of switching to a 12 volt pump soft wash set up for applying soap, then rinsing with my pressure washer to both save on chemical and water( If necessary) .
I was wondering what everyone thought of this or how they would go about doing so. Also what shooter tip they would suggest, and your thoughts on conserving chemical and water with an X jet vs down streaming with shooter tips.
Finally if anyone knows of a great power washing supplies store that serves Canada for supplies and equipment drop a link as well.
I recommend a lot of reading. It’s been talked about a lot on here and recently it’s not recommended to use a 12V for soaping and your PW for rinsing. Downstreaming is the way to go. There are also several threads discussing Canada supplies.
J-rod my friend, J-Rod And downstreaming. Actual tube shooter tips are largely the same thing, there’s only so much engineering you could put into a piece of tubing. Don’t believe the hype.
The thread posted above is from 2014, there are Proportioners for 12vs now so you dont have to batch mix everyday. I run a 12v soap, 6 gpm rinse, and I love it. I only have to downstream if the house has over 30 ft peaks, each job is different.
