I live about half a mile from Benchmade’s HQ. I did one IT call there. Gerber’s HQ is about 10 miles away, and Leatherman’s HQ is about 15 miles away.
So there all made on the left coast? GREAT @Sasquatch ! Kinda like all the PW pumps are made in Italy.
Benchmade is manufactured locally. Leatherman is all overseas I would think. Gerber I am not sure of. Not just West Coast but Portland!
Good Lord, let me draw you all a picture.
Well 5 parts foriegn made out of the 30 prts needed to make a plasticman knife ain’t to bad I guess.
Nice video BTW @garry.cooper
See that grade of steel qualifies as a real knife in my book.
I dont finance equipment. Do people really do this? I also didnt pay $230 for that knife i paid $150 .
Some of the best knifes made are from Japan
I have no clue what good steel is I guess. I know the knife guys get all worked up over what type of steel a blade is but there are way too many for me to keep up. I just know that it’s pretty good looking and it cuts things easily LOL
Who cares, long as it’ll cut a steak or skin a deer, it’s a good knife.
Respectfully Sir, to knife guys that’s like saying what the difference between a 2.8gpm and a 5.5… both will clean a driveway.
Some steels will take an edge and hold it till the second coming, others are easy to sharpen but need to be touched up more often, and some are utter garbage that belong in the junk heap. More knife shaped object other than a real tool to be counted on.
That’s my philosophy on it, too. I just like a good hefty knife that fits my hand nice and does basic knife things.
Ditto, I really could give 2 craps less. Long as its soft enough to re sharpen.
But I saw ppl getting all serious about over priced knives and thought I’d stir the pot a little…
It worked…
Benchmade knives, yeti coolers, Ford pickup trucks is how I roll
I bet you don’t roll very much. More like push.
Ooh, shots fired.
That one would be a nice truck if it didn’t have those awful wheels. An OBS Ford should have factory Alcoa’s or something similar of that era. Newfangled wheels on a classic truck just doesn’t look good. Other than that ot looks like a sweet ride!
