How much pre-water plants?

Im ready to take the plunge with my new business and have been watching and reading to learn as much as I can before I start. Mostly going to do tile roofs and stucco so was wondering how much watering I need to not kill plants/bushes/grass? I will be working solo for a while and most houses are under 3000 sq ft. I am thinking of running a sprinkler while I am on the ladder softwashing with SH.

So what I have searched here is to pre water so plants dont drink up the SH. Also to rinse often. But how much water are we talking about laying down? Is it spraying down the leaves more or is it drenching the ground to where puddles are forming? Thanks for educating this newbie.

Best of luck buddy! Flowering plants = 10 Mississippi’s non-flowering plants = 5 Mississippi’s. Temperature over 80°? Double your watering time. More importantly, pay attention to where your chemical run off is going and don’t use more or stronger SH than is needed to get the job done!

A house with gutters will be different than a house with no gutters. Any plants under the drip line of the roof should be watered pretty well - both the leaves and the soil. Gutter down pipes that direct the roof runoff directly to plants/garden/lawn should be treated with extra care. Certain plants, such as a Japanese Maples, can be very susceptible to the runoff/overspray.
