Just trying to get a general idea of the weight of people’s trailers along with the equipment on it. Also what kind of truck do you have to hull your trailer?
thanks

I would say that my 5x12 with all equipment would weigh at least 1700, might weigh more, IDK…The hot water skid was advertised at around 750lbs and my trailer is very heavily built specifically for pressure washing equipment.
Is that including the weight of water? If so how many gallons of water do you carry around with you?
Yes…that would include the weight of the trailer…that was what you asked for.
I carry about 50gals and that weight was not included in the above post…that was trailer and equipment only. On a couple of occasions like cleaning gravestones, I have carried more water and it was not a problem.
5 - 6k lbs 5.3 chevy
I cant recall exact weight, but 5x8 Enclosed is around 800 lbs. Having never weighed it before, id say total weight is only ~1500lbs, maybe a tad more.
I tow with a 4cyl, 5sp, Tacoma. Pulls it fine with no issues.
Takes 5 minutes to weigh your trailer on a truck scale. Most people carry way more weight than they think they do. They also tend to load the trailer unevenly. Both scenarios can cause problems…
That is a big one.
5k-6k lbs no water. 2500hd 6.0 pulls it fine with no water in the tanks. Once you put 325 gal in the tank you can feel it but i never drive on the road with that.
Just wondering, what kind of trailer and equipment do you have that would weigh 5-6k lbs with no water?
Ill bet a soda it is under 3400 pounds with out any water. Be interesting to see when you weigh it…
You’re kidding. My 6.5 by 14 trailer weighs over 1700 lbs before I put 200lbs of ladder rack on it. A hot skid weighs in at around 900 - 1000 before you add 200lbs of diesel and gas in just it. It doesn’t take long at all to get up to 5k lbs.
x 2
To his good fortune, it does not weigh 5-6k without water.
Our trailer weighs about 7500 pounds dry and 13,500 when full of water. We pull it with a F450… Im looking to upgrade to a gooseneck flatbed next year with a 25k pound weight rating so we can haul 1000 gallons of waste water
Well, if yours weighs 7500…the one posted up thread certainly doesn’t weigh 5-6k.
Quite the residential set up ya got there
lmao.
He has no ladder rack and not much on it… Plus it loit does not look like heavy square tubing.
Hey its just a guess something to do… What do you think it weighs?
I think you pretty much nailed it.
At any rate, it is under 5k.
