How many nozzles do you own to use for different surfaces? Who has the most?

Been doing a deep dive for a couple of days and have a list of the psi to use for different surfaces. For my wand, I figure I can get most in 25 degrees except for the wood ones which should be at 40 degrees. Then I would need different ones for my surface cleaner in 25 degrees. It all adds up to quite a few nozzles. I was thinking of getting them all in 1/4’ meg and mounting them in jrods for different applications. Got me thinking about how everyone else handles their collections and who has the most?

I have dozens but only because I was experimenting with different pressures and a lot are from the previous machines. I now just have the four on my surface cleaner and four on my jrod. Oh and two on the 12v.

Can you please share what you actually use? I am about to pull the trigger on 20+ tips for my wand and surface cleaner at both 25 and 40 degrees after reading a bunch of post listing the psi to use for different surfaces. I figured I would eventually need them at some point and prefer to be prepared…

M5DS and shooter tip for everything on the house.
15 and 25 degree fan tips with orifices to reach 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 psi for just about everything else if using the wand.
Surface cleaner nozzles to reach as close to 3000 psi as I can get, currently running 25 degree but thinking about swapping to 40 degree nozzles for more coverage.

What I use may not work in your case, but I have four 2500psi 25 degree tips on the surface cleaner. My jrod has 1500 psi fan, 100psi fan (rinse), low pressure shooter and 2000psi shooter.

I currently have an X jet, M5, and J rod with 0040 (soap high) 40 psi, 0010 (rinse high) 600 psi, 2540 (soap low) 40 psi, and 2510 (rinse low) 600 psi basically standard house wash jrod and 2500 psi 25-degree tips on a surface cleaner. Psi calculated for 4 gpm.

Ohioflomo - I like your range but do you ever need 750 psi? Do you not use 40 degree wand tips on wood decks or pool decks?

Dcbrock- What are you using your 2000 psi shooter for? How far does that shoot?

I’ve read the M5DS is around 500-700 psi, if that doesn’t take care of it and I feel that 1000 psi would be too much, I would just throw on a pressure gauge at the gun and adjust the ball valve to lower the pressure… not the best option, but in a pinch and for a short period of time it works. Wood decks and fences get cleaned with 25 degree tips. 1000 or 1500 psi and 25 degrees puts me in the sweet spot as far as distance away to hit the entire board in a pass. Never used anything other then a surface cleaner on pool decks, but I’ve also only done a handful and they weren’t cool-deck/travertine like a lot of the guys get down south.

Our guys have 3 tips… anything else is probably just overkill. You need a soap tip, low pressure fan tip, and either a 40* or 25* pressure tip. Don’t make it too complicated.

Four that came on the jrod, and one white tip that has my setup putting out about 1,200 psi. I use the white tip for cutting in concrete, cleaning of brick steps/foundations and wood fences/decks. There are a few more tips laying around in the truck, but they haven’t been used in years.

An 0540 nozzle for soaping and rinse is a dream
