Hey guys i bought a down streamer about 4 weeks ago still have problems using it because it’s not sucking up chemical. One of the problems could be that my craftsman pressure washer has a built injected but it runs through the pump so I don’t wanna damage anything. This had really been holding me down. Here are some pictures. Plz I need y’all help
2 problems
- you’re probably using a tip that is too high of pressure
- Using a homeowner machine to run a business.
I’m just 17. I do this as a side hobby. And I have a j rod
You’re not going to pull chem with the second injector. Can you just use the one on the machine?
No it doesn’t
Ok let’s try a couple things.
First, what does your injector say on the side, ie GPM rating?
Second make sure the arrow on the injector is pointing away from the machine.
Third, cut the end of your hose at a slant as a 90 degree cut may just be sucking to the bottom of your bucket. Also switch to reinforced hose, not that flimsy clear vinyl garbage that flattens out.
That built in injector needs to be capped off.
As Nick pointed out the second injector may not even work regardless.
the basis of the venturi effect, which makes chemical injectors work, won’t work when you have two in a row. Take off the second one you added. And take the hose from the factory one and dip it in the chemical you want to inject.
It’ll work. My first rig had a built in injector that has never been used. I cut a 3 inch piece of tube & plugged it with a screw wrapped in teflon tape & added a GP high draw after that. Worked exactly the same as my other pump which doesn’t have a built in injector. The venturi takes place where the restriction in flow is alleviated, which will be the last injector.
gotcha, i guess maybe that would work. I see what you’re saying
Mine worked, too, and I never even plugged it!
Plugging it isn’t necessary but I figured it couldn’t hurt at the time.
Haven’t plugged my pumps original injector either. Pulls chems through my GP DS injector just fine.
Never plugged mine on my terrible AAA pump and its pullmg fine im going to cap it tho just because
I kinda thought the same thing when I bought my unit with a built in injector. Looks as if it went through the pump. But then I thought to myself, it would be kind of silly to add an injector upstream of the pump right? Right?
