How can I prevent this pressure washer from overheating?

Grab an unloader remote mount here:

Use a whip line and mount it off the pump as already mentioned.

Every home depot and hardware store has those brass plugs for like $5

Choose the store closest to you in that link and it’ll tell you what isle and bay it’s in.

Be careful screwing just any old NPT fitting into that hole, the threads could be anything from JIC to JIS or even metric tapered.

Worked on my comet pump but his is completely different so I can’t say

Got the 1/8 fitting for it. Doesnt seem to fit!

Ya it does look like a hot mess!

Ya will be getting the whip line/unloaded block. I actually live in Canada and moved to the Greater Vancouver area.

Perfect

I zoomed in and it looks like an AR pump? If so it’s probably metric.

Bring the threaded Barb you took off the pump and bring it to the hardware store with you. You can measure it in the isle and pick out the correct plug size you need.

Tried to get the power washer fired up today on my day off. Got the old injector hole plugged up. Starts up great just not getting any water pressure :frowning:. What can be the issue here?

Is the unloader turned all the way counterclockwise? If so maybe you’re bypassing it all? I would put everything back on exactly how you had it before and see if you get anything.

Yes was going to try that until I dropped that dinky little piece @ #25!!

It doesn’t look like you have set the new unloader yet. You turned it way to easy and there was no torque on the motor. Make sure the old unloader is cranked all the way down, then set the new unloader. You will have to take off the black knob to adjust the stop nut. Is there water coming out of the bypass hose?

It has a built in unloader. I’m going to try messing with it again. I’ll probably just have to get my hands on another unit. What do you guys think of this unit in my local area? Its a 4GPM with a 1 year warranty.

I know it does. Reread my post. Crank down the built in unloader all the way then adjust the unloader you added. You need to put some pressure on the spring
