How can I prevent this pressure washer from overheating?

Did you have 5 ports on yours? Four high pressure and one inlet?

Hmm this makes sense as well just extra steps (and a little confusing). So you’re saying I’ll have to remove the internal unloader first before replacing the injector and installing a new unloader valve on the outside? Could you send pictures yes that will help. I will try taking off hex brass plug first as @dperez mentioned, seems easier. Then I will remove the inter unloader if that doesn’t work. Hopefully I don’t have to resort to replacing the whole pump!

Try the one with no hex head first. It’s counter sunk, no head, recessed hex for Allen wrench/hex key

This is pretty awesome stuff @dperez and @Crystal-Clean.
If you research on here back to the beginning of time on this subject, They say it can’t be done, That’s why I backed off last night and said it couldn’t because I didn’t wanna give bad advice, my to cents, carry on fellas, fascinating stuff !!

I barely remember the thread because I didn’t get to curious about it as I steer clear of homeowner grade stuff. Now I’m just curious

So here’s what I would have done if I was @Crystal-Clean pull one of the hp plugs of his and install a pressure relief valve and set it a few hundred psi under the set pressure on the built in unloader that can not, will not bypass and bypass via high pressure relief valve. Done

Damn exact same unloader lol

That’s a good idea. I may have done that had I known anything about it when I got started. Lol

What that little plug for ? Old DS ?

Yup you got it

Well I’ll be damned !!
Question, Is that a gear driven pump ?

Just call me Mr. Impossible :sunglasses::sunglasses:

Yup. Going to do a 5.5 or 8 build now

My first rig was purchased in pieces. Everything I bought was either worn out, broken or dismantled. I scrimped and saved and repaired everything I had to build a hot water machine. Then I went on to rebuild my first transmission on my first work truck to move my machine around lol all professional equipment worn broken in need of repair professional equipment but I skipped right past the homeowner stuff because I already knew better
