Doing an estimate to wash part of a local hotel. Any precautions to take regarding the air conditioning units that i assume are pulling air from outside underneath each window while clients are inside? Should they be all shut off? Anything else to consider?
There are pigeon droppings all over and i am including installing pigeon pikes as well, from a lift, on top of softwashing/ pressure washing 2 sides of the hotel.
Will 1% take care of that ?
Thanks, my insurance covers it but what about the pigeon droppings, will sh take care of it or will i need pressure? Will it leave stains? What about the air conditioning?
Do i need to protect the air conditioning units in any way beside trying not to shoot directly? The building is about 56 feet high.
Actually i would need to clean them directly as they are probably covered with pigeon droppings. Whatâs the best thing to do? Should they be running while we wash or not?
@Innocentbystander, @Infinity, @Racer you have lots of experience with commercial, I think this thread may be too old to be very visible, i request your assistance if i may. @marinegrunt it seems you really know ac units from your answer on the âbleach smell in entire houseâ thread. Thanks!
Have you asked about their budget? I bit cleaning an entire holiday inn including the walkways and stairwells and they wanted to spend less than 2k. I laughed and forgot about it.
Last year they asked for a quote, i gave one, they said itâs way too expensive. This year they called back and said âis your quote still good?â New owners and theyâve been getting complaints about the pigeon crap, they have to get it done. They are booked.
Man that pic gives me chills. Long time ago I worked with a guy window cleaning an indoor pool and I was tasked with the outside. He rented one if those electric cherry pickers and as I was moving it along the outside it got unbalanced and almost tipped over.
Fortunately I hit the âdownâ button just enough to keep me from getting flung out.
