Hot box

I have a cold water pw with an add-on hot box. I have to use a generator to use heat. Does anyone else have this set-up? I’m thinking of upgrading just want some advice.

I do. I have two 8 gpm machines and two 8 gpm hot boxes. I am actually thinking of upgrading if you’re interested in the hot boxes.

Do you have to use a seperate generator?

You will always have to use 110v with a separate hot box instead of 12v usually past 5.5gpm and I wouldn’t even recommend that. I have used 12v and they are no where as good as 110v. You don’t have to use a generator…if your client has 110v outlets outside, you can just plug up to that.

Gotcha, thanks.

What size machine are you using and what size hot boxes are you looking for?
I have 2 beefed up heavy duty ones that I am selling for $1500 each that are rated up to 8gpm with a 90 degree rise.

I’ve already got a hot box. I was thinking of upgrading to an all in one skid unit. I’m at 4gpm now. Can’t decide whether to go to 5.5 or 8.

If you go with a skid, the better ones like hydrotek have an on board generator that powers enough to run 110v to run the burner.

What temp will your 8gpm machines with hot boxes run at? Do they take up gum and other bad stuff pretty easy?

They have a 90 degree rise and we use them on our restaurants and commercial properties now. Yes, they love gum and melt it away:) They were both serviced by Russ Johnson last year and both are VERY HEAVY DUTY. They are retrofitted Steel eagle hot boxes.

What are you upgrading to?

What are you upgrading to?

Going up in GPM with bigger machines.

You can buy 2 machines cheaper than you can buy one. Do you have hot water now?

No just cold water 8gpm

No just cold water 8gpm
