I’m looking to upgrade the quality of hose. Hose from Northern Tool is breaking every other job. The local shop is not much better. Sometimes I think keeping it on a reel is the problem as there’s bends in the hose. I may be looking to do 6000 psi and maybe a 50 piece of 1/2" on the reel to reduce spike. Any suggestions?

I wanted raptor hose, not sure if they around anymore. I habe sutner, I like it alot. I just scored 300ft plus of gates powerclean 3000. Its ready once my sutner dies. The sutner took a beating recently, but its still leakfree.

@racer swears by his BCE hoses. I own them too, came with rig and I bought extra when I bought it (shipping was free). I can’t say anything bad about it, but I don’t do nearly as much PW as you guys do. I also don’t work about 4.5 months out of the year due to winter, and then I do decks and paint so they get even less use.

Suttner hose has done well for me. It’s readily available, good price, and I like the jacketing on it better than others. Doesn’t leave any marks behind whatsoever.

Don’t attempt to ever use reusable field fittings on it as that hose is Metric

Personally, I’ve never even considered trying to patch one together. Just never seemed worth the time or the, albeit slight, risk. Just keep spares on hand.

I’m looking into some of that brand.
Maybe will put some 1/2" or 2 wire on the first 50-100’.
Looks like Manatee or Panhandle Supply has it.

My all time favorite hose is the Goodyear hose grey. But its not easy to get and also very expensive, Im giving suttner a try, too early to tell
As an update I put the 50’ piece on the reel and did a bucket test. Couldn’t believe that I filled 2 5 gallon buckets in exactly one minute. I did another 30 second test and filled a third bucket to the top. For the test I had the 50’ 1/2" and then about 130’ of 3/8" added in sections. Before I was getting about 8 1/2 GPM so I am surprised that it made that much difference. EDIT: This is the Fierce Jet 50’ 2 wire I’m getting about 10 GPM now w/the hose upgrade.

They don’t have 200ft sections. They have fixed ends, not swivels, they support CETA. Can’t give them my money.

This is just the ball valve (bucket test)
Heath at Texas Pressure Wash Store, Manatee, and Panhandle all have 200ft sections of Fierce Jet.
Also only 1 fixed end on the Fierce Jet Assemblies, other end Male Pipe Swivel.
I’d sell my business for a box of Krispy Kreme before I bought from them

I haven’t had Krispy Kreme since 02’. At an old job with hundreds of employees they were doing employee appreciation with four humongous flatbed carts of glazed donuts one morning and I just kept getting two, stuffing my mouth and getting back in line. I was lost in the crowd making multiple trips. I ate about 16 then I got really sick. Those were my last donuts!

Shipley’s is good donuts but I think my favorite donut is Hurts. They’re sooooo good.
The absolute best fried sausage rolls are from Daylight Donuts. It’s not a kolache but it’s really good.
