Hose reel covers?

Does anyone know where you could get hose reel covers, my thought process was to keep as much sun/road grime off my reels and hoses when not in use…I’ve only seen one truck with covers and maybe they were custom made…any ideas?

You can buy generic cover on Amazon or you can have a upholstery shop make some for you. I personally think they would be more of a pain in the $#% than anything keeping them from flying off while driving down the road.

I was thinking if it was made heavy duty enough and maybe fitted with a zipper and some grommets for a bungee cord, it could save on some unnecessary sun and rain and grime…maybe too much of a pain in the A$*

That’s a quick recipe for mold growth on your hoses

If your looking to just cover them at night ok.

Driving with them is a huge negative.

Been there, done that.

Waste of money.

I figured there had to be a reason I didn’t see them more often…even though I pressure wash about 35 to 45 hours a week my hoses stay on the reel Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm that’s when I’m at my day job…there just sitting out in the sun cooking…I just know the sun gives out a beating here and anything I could do to make my equipment last longer would be a plus… less equipment worn out more profit

I wouldn’t worry about it unless you cover the rubber on your tires, garden hose at the house, door mats etc.

The sad part is…there are some people who do those things. LOL

Why not just throw a big tarpaulin over entire trailer when not in use, then everything is protected.
I park mine undercover but if it has to go outside for a couple of days then a tarp goes over it.
