Honda OHC GCV 160 PW ~ Engine quits when water is turned on?

I have an almost brand new Honda OHC GCV 160 Pressure Washer that starts up and runs just fine until I turn the water on. When I turn the water on the engine dies. I can press the trigger on the PW handle and crank it just fine and it has good pressure and the engine runs smooth but when I release the trigger on the PW handle the engine dies?

I have looked everywhere for this problem and cannot find it posted anywhere so it may be something out of the ordinary.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

sounds like you have the unloader turned up to high and the engine is stalling, Turn down the unloader half a turn by half a turn and see if that helps.

Thank you very much Mr. Hilliard.
I watched several video’s on the “uploader” and the video’s hit my nail on the head.
I’ll certainly take your advice and try your technique.

Hope you and your family had a safe and Happy 4th of July!

Thanks again Mr. Hilliard,
'preciate it!

Never start your engine until AFTER you turn the water on
