Honda GCV160 dies after seconds of starting

Hello everyone, well the wonderful tradition of Spring East Texas pollen has arrived and time to get my pressure washing on, I got it out of the shed and checked oil and gas fresh gas and clean air filter, after a few pulls got it to start and then died within 10 secs after that it took full choke and still will only die after 10 secs and if I try to turn choke off it kills it instantly, I am not sure where to begin but I cleaned the carb out and while it doesn’t idle as rough it still dies, any help would be much appreciated! Happy Spring folksUploading...

Try putting some Star Tron enzyme additive in your gas. You might be having an ethanol problem. You can find it almost anywhere - even Walmart sometimes. Put some fresh gas in your tank, along with Star Tron, and you’ll probably be good to go. I had the same problem last year. Since then I always buy quality gas for my PW, and always add Star Tron.

start from gas tank and work your way to the carb, replace fuel filter(might be part of petcock),take apart fuel petcock they can get dirty, fuel line might have a crack or cracks.(that may need to be replaced also) change spark plug. what cyclonewindowcleanin said is true ethanol messes with every thing. it sounds to me like a clogged jet.(spend the money on the best carb cleaner you can get,it is that much better. even better than star tron is mechanic in a bottle(i know this from many years of working on toys) one last bit of info, try to find ethanol free fuel (google it in your area) and your problems will be over. good luck and i hope this helps.
