Homemade Softwash gun

The Dollar General ones have GHT on the ends too. And they’re green so they match the flexzilla hose. You talking about those plastic garden hose quick connects?

Ooh those are much fancier than the ones I’ve seen. You get those locally or order them?

I think I got them from US Plastics. If you order some let me know and I’ll send you some viton o-rings. I had to order 100 of them and haven’t replaced one yet.

If you don’t use a mosmatic on your soft wash hose they have the same quick connects with hose barbs.

Interesting. I don’t use a swivel on my 12v hose. I have a GHT ball valve just before the gun so I can shut off the flow and swap guns if one develops a leak or something. I appreciate the offer on the viton orings but I’m knee deep in them already. I bought a couple of the mega packs at Harbor Freight and I have a weird tendency to order them from PT when I place orders there. I have no idea why. But, I’ll never not have them!

I get the same ones. Haven’t yet used them for softwashing, but they seem like they’ll hold up as good or better than any of the more expensive guns. I found pvc adapters for the garden hose fittings so I can put quick connects on it. I also swap out the rubber o-rings for the yellow pvc ones.

And it appears that these guns might be rebuildable, with a threaded insert at the nozzle holding the innards in place. If you were to source the correct sized Hastelloy spring and viton or kalrez seals, I could see these guns being pretty darn bulletproof for softwashing. The only downside I can find, is that the trigger handle is not particularly ergonomic.

Yeah, I use an adapter on mine as well and use a JROD. Like I said, at a buck a piece I wouldn’t even waste my time rebuilding them. They work great though.

@DisplacedTexan what is a GHT ball valve? Thanks
