HomeAdvisor CHRONICLES

Starting new thread. Thought 145 posts should be enough on original thread.

SO, today had $625 day, spent under $50 on leads. All income results from leads, but one deal from neighbor that I wouldn’t have met had I not been on HA lead.

I figure that after leads, gas, and chems, I made about $500 today that I wouldn’t have made without HA.

Started HA a month ago yesterday, Did $3543 in business from HA leads, and another $350 that I wouldn’t have gotten had I not been on HA business. Spent $306.40 on leads. NOW, I WAS given $100 in leads free with my membership, and the cost doesn’t include my membership.

I’m now a 5 Star Preferred HA Pro and finding that I am winning higher % of deals because of my reviews and ratings. I am busier than ever, and LOVE ME SOME HA.

That’s awesome that it’s going well for you. What percent of the leads would you say you’re closing?

Keep hustlin man.

Forgot to get in touch with ya this weekend… sorry. Will try and give you a shout one day dueing lunch this week.

I tried to get on with HA. Their back ground check was bs and it shows I have a felony assault charge. Yes, I was charged with a felony but not convicted. They want me to go downtown and get proof. If their BG check was legit, I wouldn’t need to. I cringe at the idea of going downtown to pull a record they should easily be able to see if they looked

Did you pay them money yet?

No. They didnt charge my card since I didnt pass their check

Well that’s good at least.

I put horse crap in someone’s mailbox when I was about 10 so I’m out to I guess

In middle school, two buddies and I stole a shopping cart full of broken hangers from behind a thrift store that use to be a steakhouse. We ran halfway around Kansas City for probably 8 hours with that dumb shopping cart until it got away from me. It sped down a hill, got the speed wobbles, and threw ITSELF into the most shoddily constructed mailbox on the street. Picture a mushroom cloud of hangers, splintered wood, and a mailbox seen from space WAY past curfew.

The shopping cart was such a drama queen. I had to personally buy, and install, a really nice mailbox after apologizing to the owner of the house and I had to walk an empty shopping cart back to the thrift store in broad daylight like a homeless person while all my neighborhood friends gawked and down North Oak Trafficway.

This was about 2 years after everyone started calling me Rowdy, and I’ve always wondered if someday that incident will show up on something.

Long story short, I passed HomeAdvisor’s screening process. You’re safe to join whenever.

I went through all of this while still in the Feds. You will need to get HA to send you the report from which they denied your membership. You write those folks and threaten thwm for reporting allegations that were unfounded. THEN you get HA to run another background check and voila! You’re in there like swimwear.

I have two jobs on Friday morning one of which is a leadfrom HA, the other because I was on a HA job across the street last Saturday.

It’s not that it’s unfounded. They are only digging as deep at the charge. Nothing false about the charge. It’s just ridiculous that they doing such a half assed check that they are not doing more in-depth checks to see that I wasn’t convicted. They want me to do the work for them that I’d be paying for them to do. I’m paying for the check after all.

In all honesty, this isn’t a HA problem. This is a reporting agency problem, and it’s against the law for them to report charges with no conviction. THAT’S why you should follow my instruction, and get all the stuff off of there that might impede your future progress.

I’ve been through this, and had I not had them remove all the state charges that were converted fed, I would NEVER have gotten through their BG check. Fortunately, the feds don’t report things W/O FBI BG check, and nobody does those.

I’ve passed every other bg check I’ve done including CHL. They told me their check doesnt show my whole record. Just the charges. I spoke with their legal department

So you failed their background check because of an unfounded allegation? There MUST be a law against that.
