HOA Email list

Is there a service that provides an email list of contacts that I could obtain? Or is the only way to obtain contact info is the old fashion way of individual google searches or in person visits to ask for info.

I would think obtaining people’s personal info through an HOA list to be rather unethical and might piss off a few people.

Not too sure on the hoa email lists, but ReferenceUSA is absolutely awesome for real estate management and property management companies, as well as any other type of businesses you could think to look up. Best part is it’s free through most libraries. Our county library system has it available online. I printed off 50 pages of just property and real estate management companies located in about half the cities and towns in my county, granted I’m in a metro Atlanta county with a population of over 1 mil.

HOA’s are legal corporations and will be listed with your state . Names and info on the board members will also be there if there in active status . Your better off seeking out PMs most board members with think your a scam if you try and contact them directly.

True, a new trend up
Here is self managed Condos, I actually love working for them a lot more then PM…easier to build relationships

There is some advantages with no pm but I’ve noticed the non pm HOA’s can be very unorganized.
Things like have to put the job on hold because they were Un aware they are not allowed to spend reserve funds on pressure washing . To board members shift or quit in the board in the middle of a job. And it becomes complete Disaster
On the flip side it is nice to deal directly with the decision makers . We can close deals and schedule service on the first meet

I have one bigger pm company up here that is kind of a mix of the 2. They mostly are there to vet the vendors (which is nice because they can’t hire chuck in a truck due to insurance requirements) and write checks. As long as the hoa approves cost, they end up paying out as soon as they get the invoice. So far, most of the hoa’s under that pm company approve the estimate and get scheduled in just a few days. At least if you are bidding against someone else, you know it’s a legit company who doesn’t typically trying under bidding everyone else. Got it set up with them now so that I can get paid direct deposit either same day or the day after.

How would that be unethical?

I’ve worked with a few HOA presidents and they tend to handle any member contact information when signing up with a mass service.

Asking an HOA for phone numbers and addresses would probably constitute a breach of trust with the residents…at least where I operate.
