Help with which hose reel to buy

hello guys and gals, i have a pressure pro 4000 psi 4 gpm belt drive and it s time to get a pressure hose reel. i use 100 to 200 feet of hose but might get up to 300 some day. i don’t want to buy junk but i don’t need the best either. i have been looking at cox, summit, titan. do i want stainless, aluminum, steel?. i do know i will need a jumper hose between the washer and reel any thing else i will need?. i am looking for all help and advice i can get because i want to do this right the first time. thanks in advance. also where can i get a blackmon shooter tip without using face book.

I’m looking at a Cox reel. The 1125-4-200 model more specifically. The max psi is 3,000. Noticed there is a hp model that is for 5,000 psi. I run a 4K psi machine. Does anyone use the 3k model and exceed the max psi?

I just bought a 100’ off of ebay $50 for my 1" garden hose.
I bought a 200’ 4,000 psi from Water Cannon for $120.00.
Not stainless
I got that from Water Cannon and 2 8gpm Turbo Nozzles for $29.99 each

Getting a new trailer set up for my new 8gpm.
Im going to put my electric reel on my new trailer and had to have one to replace it on my old trailer.
For when I’m selling my old rig…

I will definitely look into them.

I’m about to buy some reels to build my first setup.

These Liberty hose reels are okay for water supply reels. I bought this 200’ 5/8" reel for $80 shipped a few months ago, and now it’s down to $60 shipped. I think i would rather have 200’ of 3/4" now, though, so i might get a bigger one.

Liberty Reel

For pressure washer/chemical hoses, i think im going to order these GP reels. 300’ of 3/8", but they have 1/2" inlet/outlet, and i’m going to use 1/2" hose on one of them. $153 shipped from amazon. Pretty good reviews, and Michel Kreisle did a video on one a while back… he said they are pretty much identical to Cox reels. Think i will get two of them.

GP reel.

I have got 6 titan reels that have held up great, I have had only one issue that was easily fixed the manifold weld broke. I would probably try hannay next. Go with the best and forget the rest. aving money in the short term cost money in the long term

I’ll have to agree. A hose reel isn’t one thing I’d want to cut corners on.

Mine from Water Cannon is a MTM reel
The 100’ i got for the water hose is General Pump

I bought a general pump reel for my 100 foot fill hose. The hose is really thick “industrial” hose and I can still add another 50-75 feet if i need to. Got it off amazon for around $165 shipped. Not a bad budget reel in my opinion.

Thanks for the input guys. I will look at all of these.

we use hannay brand reels. we are happy with them so far.

Hannay reels sell more reels than anyone else. They are top of the line. I use then ad pressure reels until the manifold goes. Usually 5 or 6 years. Then either replace the manifold or they become garden hose reels.

I don’t believe I have seen hannay reels. Who has these online?

Most vendors don’t carry them as they don’t get a chance to sell more. Just search hannay on line. They are like udor pumps. Vendors don’t usually carry them because they last so long. No repeat pump sales.

Summit, is what we use . Not too expensive either.

My hannay is electric and I love it to death…
