rior of this commercial building. It’s a flex-space building where contractors lease a small space. It’s approximately 16,000 square feet. The black stuff I’m assuming is organic and should come off with a hot mix. My issue is that I haven’t come across this kind of exterior finish before. I included a pic with my hand for scale. I’m assuming it will be fine, but checking to see if anyone has cleaned this surface before. It may be very common in other parts of the country, just never stumbled across it here yet.

Take a pump up and do a small test area to get your mix dialed in. Plan on a lot of rinse time with that surface. Like stucco on steroids, lol.

Man, you don’t ever really see it anymore but when I was a kid in Texas most of the bigger buildings in town were all exposed aggregate. I often think about how much it would suck to wash one of those. Your job looks like it will be about the same so Rick is spot on. Rinsey rinsey

Be super careful applying any kind of mix over all those meters. SH is highly conductive and you can cause a fire easily if it gets in there if it’s not built properly, or even if it is built properly. Mask it all off. I would use a pump up sprayer with lots of slow mo to treat that area first and then rinse it after the whole rest of the job is complete.

Using less soap in your mix will help you rinse easier as well
