Help with how to bid window cleaning

I just received a call from a PM and she wants a price on cleaning the windows and dumpster pad at this apartment complex. I have never just cleaned windows before so i have 2 questions.

  1. How do you price this ?
  2. How to clean them. Do I have to squeegee clean them. Or is there a window cleaning solution that I can DS and rinse off?

Any help is much appreciated thank you

Can’t help you with price. But you’re gonna want a water fed pole setup to clean those 4 story windows. Check out futureofcleaning.com.

Ok thanks I’ll take a look at them.

^^What Robbie said^^

Pretty sure his is over @ WCR as well as me… WCR is where you needed to doing your research.

commercial glass pricing by story work… Rates vary $3-5 per pane exterior and sometimes in&out.

Your going to need Pure water via a DI at least. Plus a Reach-It pro or unger N-lite pole with an extension.

Window cleaning is an ART form!! Takes time & effort to learn it and be good…
Tho using a water fed pole makes is pretty easy. But that as well take time to learn.

So do some reading, research into costs etc… Then decide even if you want to even try…

Good add on to consider  Since on the flip side of the coin i am adding pressure washing etc…

Yea I am just adding pressure washing too. Just getting started though only had my equipment for a couple weeks.

Ok so the lady said she doesn’t want the windows squeegee Cleaned, just soaped n rinsed. There are about 240 window ,also a 4 foot tall block section all the way around the building that needs to be washed along with 2,800 sf of concrete.

What would you charge for all that. Just wanna know if I’m in the right ball park. I don’t see why I can’t get it all done in one day. Tops a day n a half

Idk why all my pictures are posting cropped

Well then ya might as well buy some window windex spray stuff @ home depot. Or just soft wash them…
Soap & rinse ain’t going to get hardly anything off. If it’s been 4-5 years since they have been cleaned forget it.
Waste of time!!! little okie talk tho i am not from okie land…

Like others have said. Water fed pole is the way to go. This job alone would pay for the entire set up. I know she said she just wants them rinsed off pretty much but like golden eagle said, it really wouldn’t be doing it the right way. This is where setting expectations up is important, or this is where you flex your selling skills and sweet talk her into doing it the right way for more money. You could bang all the windows out in a day if you have the WFP setup but since you have never used one before it takes some learning. After 240 windows you should have it down though…

Don’t let the inexperienced customer tell you how to get the professional results they desire.
