Will have to do tomorrow and will post.
Thanks @DisplacedTexan @qons @Innocentbystander
@DisplacedTexan @Innocentbystander @qons here is the video with belt guard off.did not notice water coming from top before taking guard. PW check - YouTube
Looks like it runs pretty well. The pressure spike is normal. Fix that leak asap and looks like you need a gasket on the inlet. Itās leaking bad there too.
@DisplacedTexan Iām not sure what the part right above the small pulley is called, is that where it could be leaking from?I did not notice the leak until I took the guard off and had to tilt the machine up to get under to get the bottom belt guard bolts.
Your return spring is unhooked
Thanks will reattach
@DisplacedTexan @Innocentbystander @qons Reattached spring but still leaking on what I think is a pump protecter ? (as per Landa manual on a PG series.) I am thinking of plugging this off or unhooking from the throttle as I would like to have bypass going to buffer tank as unit goes to idle when there is no pressure so I cannot use a ball valve to rinse.Would the above be an option?
Thanks
April 14-after more research called Idle Down Controller-will remove and use bypass to tank as cannot get this part any more.Thank you all @qons @Innocentbystander @DisplacedTexan for getting back.
Try it and see. There should never be a reason why you would rinse with a ball valve.
You do NOT rinse with a ball valve???
No. That is not what they are made for. Show one to your insurance guy during an audit, tell him how you use and see what happens
OK well I was talking more about concrete/flat for the ball valve.
Iām with William on this one, it doesnāt make good sense to me either. Carrying around an extra pound of metal off my gun all day long so I can shut it off once, remove the gun, set the gun down somewhere, come back, open it up, and rinse with the same flow Iād get through a 0060 tip that I couldāve just plugged into the gun in the first place.
Also, if I drop the gun it shuts off. If youāre only using a ball valve and your hose gets stuck on a rock or brick and you drop it, thatās a pretty nasty scenario
Bad idea is still a bad idea, regardless of what you are washing.
If you can climb up and down a ladder 2 storyās high without killing yourself youāre more than qualified enough to use a ball valve safely. Like anything itās paying attention to what your doing.
I just try to cut down my exposure to screwups and extra steps, Iām a clumsy person and hate wasting time
Does cocking the valve hurt the pump? I find that if using the X-Jet it works better at close range if you partially open the valve to reduce pressure.
A ball valve is made to be opened or closed.
