Help me with Date Codes?!

I am able to get this 10% SH for $2.75 a gallon, with no sales tax. Is this is good price point? I realize it not 12.5 but it is close, can someone help me with the date code on the bottom, how to decipher?

18 = year
009 = the day of the year

Its called the Jillian Calendar, it goes from 1 to 365.

So that was bottled on 9 Jan, 2018 at 4;17 in the afternoon.

The other numbers is company code I guess.

Not bad stuff, Wal mart ? I use that when in a pinch. Unless your doing roofs you wont notice much of a difference between 10 and 12.5. Ive let some of that sit around for three months, and it still worked good.

There are “two-packs” available at Lowe’s for just under 6 bucks, where I got these, seems like a deal to me. Walmart has them for a little over 3 bucks each gallon, but I haven’t found the two-packs there yet, it is still early in the season. I like being able to check the date codes, now that I know what they mean. Not sure if they would stay fresher longer with the smaller containers. I have a 35 gallon mix tank, and maybe this would allow a “fresher” mix, buying by the gallon, as opposed to bulk drum or tote delivery once per season. Thoughts?
