Hey everyone, looking for a second set of eyes on a garage door issue I ran into today.
The garage door has some strange blotchy discoloration. I’m already aware of oxidation and I checked for it — wiped the surface thoroughly and there was no chalky residue, no transfer, nothing that points to typical oxidation.
What’s throwing me off is the pattern. There are weird drip‑like marks, almost like someone threw water balloons at it or splashed something on it. I did a standard house wash with a regular HW/HE mix and the stains didn’t lighten or change at all.
Has anyone seen this type of staining before or know what might cause it? Trying to figure out whether this is something that can be cleaned or if it’s a surface/paint issue.
