Help! Getting no water pressure?

Got the pressure washer hooked directly to the garden hose. It’s a 4 GPM threw a new unloader valve on there so I can bypass water to tank. Took the old valve and outlet valve off. Haven’t got everything set up yet. Was just firing the power washer up too test. Its starts up great but no water is coming out of gun… I’m dumbfounded How can I fix this?

Original valve before taking it off and the injector.

The other guys know more than me, but that unloader is built into the pump, don’t think you’re supposed to take it off.

I didn’t even notice you added an unloader after the built in unloader. @dcbrock is correct. You can’t do that. Although, there are ways to accomplish it but it requires drilling out, tapping, and plugging certain passageways inside the original unloader. You’re better off just picking up a new pump without a built in unloader.

I’d say use it the way it came until the pump craps out, then swap it with a real one, are you just planning on bypassing onto the ground? Some people have issues with direct drive machines on buffer tanks, not an expert here, just what I’ve read

Yeah you’re right. Just gonna have to use for now until I can get my hands on another machine!

Ya I’ll have to grab another machine. Will try selling this unit. Got it for $400 only thought it was a steal!

Yeah that’s what i’ll probably do for now. Yeah I’ve read that too.

What you guys think of this pressure washer in my local area? Its a 4GPM with a 1 year pump warranty.

You’re better off spending a little more and getting something better quality. Not to mention that one also has a built in unloader. You want to stay away from that.

What engine came on that $400 machine you recently purchased?

Its a Triplex Piston Pump. Ya will probably have to just cough up the $1500 for a new unit lol. Its hard to find something on the used market here.

Not pump but the engine. What engine came on that used machine you purchased? Maybe you can just buy a gear drive pump to throw on it.

@marinegrunt said it. Find a decent used GX390, add skid, unloader and gear drive 5.5gpm/2500. Won’t be anywhere near $1500.

Or, maybe find a decent used belt drive even if you have to drive a bit to get one. They pop up every now and then for about $900.

@cclean Please go ahead and level out that unit it’s a ticking time bomb. That pump and unit were not designed to be run for hours on end on a slope. Not to mention oil levels and gas etc…

Its a PowerFist Engine, sold at all the large Princess Auto stores in Canada. Its their house brand. Ya going to look online, just gonna throw another pump. Maybe Amazon will have something.
