Help configuring my trailer

Yeah, I think so. Drilled them out and tapped them to take a 3/8” allen head bolt with a round head so it could spin freely

No just Pressure Pro belt drives. One 4 gpm and one 5.5 gpm. That was a 65 gallon tank. I now have a 125 gallon tank. I had several times where we would run out of water so I put a bigger tank in.

Getting better. You may get close to how to like it but I promise you’ll change something after a few jobs so don’t think this is your only shot. Do you need to have the washer on wheels? Will it strip down to just a skid and still be sturdy?

We were discussing taking the wheels/cart off, sure.

Or…

I suppose either of those would work. I’d figure out which way has the shortest run for the plumbing and go from there

I took the handle off both of mine and left the wheels on.

My pressure pro had wheels and handle on it. I removed them and made a rack. Much easier changing oil.

Could build a small wooden shelf above the pressure washer to mount the reel on. Wouldn’t have to be but about 3’ high. About chest level is better on your back than bending over to reel up hose anyways.

Get some shelves in there in the front wall and make sure you can access everything. Stepping over a hot machine to get a brush, chem, etc. will get old when you let your leg touch it.

Hang extra hoses back there, guns and what not on the doors, hang SC on side wall so its outta the way, lances/brushes/etc on ceiling.

If i ever come across one of these i will everything set up on that. 5x8 just isnt a ton of room, or add a side door and that would open up possibilities a little too

For now we settled on this configuration, leaving the tank on the tongue. I’m getting a 90 degree elbow and running the inlet hose from the tank through the trailer into the machine, and I did verify it pulls water when full.

The trailer is just too small to put the leg tank inside, really crowds out everything else.

It’s just a basic setup, I’ll start hanging stuff off the sides when I get a chance. Just glad to have a hose reel now!

:joy::joy: i guess im not alone. Looks like you spent a full day and never mounted anything down. I personally like wear your tank is at. It is just alot of weight on the tongue when full maybe lower your jack gently on the ground before you hook up to water supply and fill it up. Defiantly stack your reels and use bills mount to get the Sc of the floor, add selfs and utility wall hooks to stock your chems and to hang brushes/wands. As far as plumbing to your tank use bulk head fittings or the electrical ones at home depot that will fit snug with your supply hose. Do you have a ladder rack on your van?

Yeah, ladders are on the van. The trailer is still attached to van when using so I haven’t needed to crank down every job…although it can’t hurt I guess. I empty it before leaving too so no water in the tank.

Just get a couple of cheap wall hooks and hang your surface cleaner on the wall. That’ll free up floor space.

Our roads are crap here, will they hold it after a good bump?

If you’re worried about anything falling off of hooks, use some of those wire gear ties to hold it in place.

Good idea, I have a few somewhere.

Thanks for all the help, my wife and I are very excited about getting more efficient with the trailer. It’ll be awesome just rolling out one long hose at a house and not have to coil back up.

I have five 50’ sections left over, how many would you all suggest I keep in the back on standby?

All of them. If your main hose goes out, you may need all 250’ to complete a job.

(Looks in the back of Truck Norris… sees only 150’ of spare hose :man_facepalming: :joy:)
