My name is Hector Reyes and I am from Humble, TX (just outside of Houston). I am new to this forum wanted to introduce myself and thank the admin for letting me join PWRA. I am new to power washing and I had (past tense) never thought of trying to start my own business in this, but this is how it started. As of right know I don’t have a business but now I have been thinking about starting one, I have recently purchase a new pressure washer (before thinking of a business) I have a Generac One wash the one with the variable pressure, it is rated at 2.8gpm and anywhere from 2000-3100psi depending on the setting. I live in a HOA subdivision and they have been cracking down on dirty houses, even though my house is not dirty they got me for my chimney having a small patch of mildew on it, so I was out washing the spot and decided since I had the washer out I was going to clean my driveway too. Well to make a long story short like 5 or 6 neighbors came up to me and ask if I did power washing and that they were interested in a quote, well that turn on a light bulb! and then I started researching PW but I got to say the information is overwhelming but I am glad I landed here, I will like to learn what chemicals to use for different houses material and what’s best for driveways. Like I say I am new to this and any help will be greatly appreciated. I won’t start a business till I know what I am doing but I will like to get advice on what yall are using like detergents, soaps, chemicals, etc. I am going to start with my family some of them need help in that department LOL.

Generac PW 2.8gpm 2000-3100psi
Generac Turbo nozzle
Homelite EZ Clean 15" surface cleaner
*I know this is all residential stuff but like I said I wasent planing in opening a business, I will get better equipment if I decide to pull the trigger.
Things that I am looking to get, to start with family cleaning:
X-Jet M5 nozzle (what do yall think about this I have read mix reviews about it)
or/and a downstream system
Can I set up my machine to soft wash or is that a whole different animal?
