Health Insurance

For those of you who may offer health insurance to employees, who did you get your group plan through? I only have a single employee at the moment but am considering offering health as and employment benefit but also because my personal premium keeps rising and I’m tired of paying out of my own pocket for it.

I have been looking into this recently myself for an older business of mine. From what I’ve seen offering any group plans is ridiculously expensive and difficult for any small business.

An alternative I stumbled upon is encouraging your employees to go out and purchase a personal health insurance plan through Manulife, Sunlife, etc. Then you simply pay them back or raise their pay appropriately to cover it.

I’m no expert in the matter but this seems to be the best way to sort it out that I’ve found so far.
