Halp! Oil sensor shutdown

@Infinity Honda and steep go hand in hand. I had a beater 96 civic that I needed to replace one cv joint on. Dealer wanted $250, Advanced wanted $50. Guess which one I bought? Lasted till I sold it too if ai remember right!

Not against user error though?

Yeah, I don’t think they’re going to replace something I fried by my ineptitude. I mean, it’d be nice… but I’m not expecting it.

@Infinity Who knows, maybe! Maybe you discovered a faulty part that isn’t standing up to the Honda name.

It really should’ve sent up a red flag when I reconnected the battery that last time, and the machine just started up on its own… but at that point in my day, I was so frustrated and annoyed, that I was just grateful to hear it running again. But yeah, that should’ve sounded alarm bells that I had cross-wired something. :man_facepalming:

I’m just grateful that it was something simple like the starter, and not the ECU :cold_sweat:

I think I’m going to spring for a kubota diesel for my next build! I like it when things are more simple and you don’t need a computer and software out in the field.

I love mine, sips fuel round 3/4 gallon an hour with 130° water all day long.

130 degree water, is that fuel consumption for a both diesel motor and a heater?

Yes sir…

Yeah, that’s nice!

Yeah we went all in last year on the SS marine grade Landa with a Kubota diesel and 120v burner and I’m very happy with it after the first initial sticker shock. Knock on wood its been or bull out of all 3 machines.

Very nice! I’m trying to buy/build the best I can afford right now. Too much downtime can add up quick!
