Gutter ball

A blower will still be the tool to beat when cleaning gutters.

WTH Home Depot won’t deliver this to me. Must be hating because I live in Cali.

Yes it does because I can’t see the top line when typing on the phone.

Again, is it because i am from California? I literally have done nothing to you and despite taking your advice and pretty much doing everything you have suggested you still don’t like me. I have been civil, and it’s clear nothing will change. I’ll stay out of your way.

Ok brother, let it go. I was doing the same thing and finally just decided to laugh whenever i’d get feedback.

As for not being available in CA, it’s probably that Prop 65 crap that pops up on every product made, so manufacturers just say, “alright we won’t sell it there”.

Are you referring to me? I only reply to what I know or have seen one of the more experienced say here. I tell people to use the search bar sometimes for a good reason, so they actually learn by doing research instead of being spoon fed the answer and not knowing why its actually done a certain way.

Oh, and that invisible top line thing…my iPad mini does that, not sure why. My iPhone doesn’t.

If you’re gonna take his advice, then use a leaf blower for gutter cleaning and call it a day. It’s the most efficient way especially since you’re in a drier area.

Option 1: blower and walk the roof
Option 2: gutter tool attached to a 8’ extension pole and a 5 gallon bucket. Use this for unwalkable roofs. Goes faster then you would think without having to move the ladder as much.

I do have the gutter tool, the vac system and curved wand. I use the ladder stabilizer and a 5 gal bucket. But on these 30’ tall gutters eventually gonna fall. Trying to find something Safer, especially if going to do a house wash after and don’t mind the clean up.

@Harold I like that gutter tool I made mine out of a old hoe. I’m going to order one today thanks for the info

If you think that you are eventually going to fall no matter what you should probably stop doing it all together. It’s not rocket surgery. Do the right things and don’t take stupid chances and you aren’t going to fall.

An expensive alternative is SkyVac. Really slow way to go, but if you really don’t want to get on ladder that is probably the only way to go. That, or start subbing it out to someone who can do it safely.

Find a roofer that want extra money and pay him to get on the roof with a blower if your not comfortable getting up there

I just refer to a local company that cleans gutters out.

Dirty wet gutters suck!!!

Do you use stabilizers?

It’s amazing. I found it from someone else on pwra. Happy to pass it on :+1:

I own an electrical sign company and work out of a bucket truck regularly. I use ladders frequently for inside or where I can’t use the bucket but being up in the air most of the day every day it’s just a matter of time. This business things are wet and slippery. Minimizing my time on the ladder makes sense to me. Just exploring options that may be viable to reduce the risk.

Yes. Lots of homes here the gutters 30’ up. I could care less about a 1 story but sometimes the fence is so close that the ladder is too straight up for comfort/safety.
