Gun, Swivel & Ball valve setup

I just got a shipment from Bob including a new gun, a Mosmatic swivel and a ball valve. What’s the best way to hook it up? Does the swivel go into the gun or at the end if the hose?

I’m thinking the swivel would work better on the end if the hose.

Thread the swivel onto the hose. Then the ball valve on the swivel. Then a coupler or plug into the ball valve.

Most people put the swivel on the hose to save money. I put a swivel on every gun because I like it that way and always have plenty of extras. Plus I don’t like the wear and tear a swivel gets by rolling in or dragging the hose.

Got it! Thanks Bob. I just placed another order with you to do exactly that. Thanks to everyone here for all of the help.

Cdubbs In one of Michael Kreisle’s videos he has posted on YouTube he has a quick connect at the end of his hose then the swivel then the valve. This way you can remove the swivel & valve assembly prior to rolling up you hose and not have to worry about wear and tear associated with that. Hope it helps. That’s what I’m wanting. Thanks for the video Michael.

For each his own. I don’t care for the extra quick connect in the assembly. The only rite way is the way you like it.

IMO, best way to keep from dragging that ballvalve on the ground, is to “fold” the hose length in half by bringing the hose end back to the reel. I QC my swivel and ball valve mostly so that I can add and extra hose or two and still have the swivel/ball valve at the gun end.
