Grease/soot

Hello, has anybody cleaned a barbecue restaurant with a galvanized roof? The smoke house turned the soffit facia and parts of roof black and greasy. I know you can’t use SH on the roof so I was thinking maybe maybe a degreaser or something. Any tips or tricks?

Mmmmmmm barbecue…

I’ll be following this tread as i have this metal roof to wash beside a restaurant and the owner thinks it’s grease from the kitchen causing black stains on the roof? Can anyone confirm if this looks like it’s the case? If so, which product would you suggest from f9 line? Edit: not f9, Eaco Chem.

Why the f9 line? Hit it with some EBC and 150 deg heat.

I meant Eaco Chem? So EBC would be most appropriate on this surface? Thank you.

But does it really look like grease/soot or could it be organic?

Try this…

Does it remove paint? Or interact with the galvanized coating?

@Racer does the EBC interact with paint or galv?

Never used on that type of material. Always test a small area before using….

Not in my experience. But always test a spot.
