I almost pooped myself today. Was washing concrete minding my own business when I look down and see grey water runoff. I was like SHIP, NO NO NO NO! Then I looked at the concrete to see when I started to etch it and I noticed I wasn’t etching it. Looked over and I had hit the sikaflex caulk line and grey came off that.
Just so no one else poops themselves.
On a side note, @Innocentbystander and @Hotshot both get a shout out from me for their help with stuff this week. New week, new pump, and probably some new chems to play with.
Yeah, it was very wide (widest was maybe 1-1.5 inches wide), well beyond what they would recommend. The concrete is heaving, and someone put wide swaths of sikaflex in the joints everywhere. It was the older thick kind and not the newer runny stuff. Then someone came in and cut through the concrete to put in a drain pipe and yep, sikaflex in all those joints too.
post up a pic of the new equipment! I’ve been drooling over stuff recently. I want more pressure washing equipment (don’t need it lol) and I’ve also got my eye on a really sweet RO/DI system and setting up a little hybrid window washing system with my pressure washer, carbon fiber pole (not WFP just a nice carbon fiber with assortment of brushes) and a dedicated 12v RO/DI rinse batch tank rig.
but yeah spread the new equipment vibes and lets see it!
Just a new pump, thermal relief valve, new spiraflex hose, new schrader valve, new fuel filter, new nuts and bolts, new connections, and a new headache, nothing nice. The old pump died a gruesome death.. The new chems, when I get them, are not for vinyl or wood. I haven’t even put the second belt guard back on because I was worried I didn’t get the spacing right with the belts. 2 jobs and no issues so I must not be that far off.
