Just got an email that GMB is on the way out and to be handled by Google Maps and Search. Shame. I really liked GMB. It was incredibly user-friendly even for an idgit like me.

And this new guy was just comfortable with my gmb app i heard it a while back but didnt think to much about it and now the app will be disabled i believe soonish dont quote me on that. The search and maps seem to work ok for the little ive used it for but the gmb is a better interface to work with for myself at least lol

Sounds like it’s evolving to Google Business Profile & the GMB app is going away.

If I’m understanding it, they’re ditching the app for all small businesses and just having small businesses use the Maps app. Kinda odd if you ask me. How hard is it for Google to support an app that makes it super easy to manage your GMB listing.

Yeah it’s all transitioning to Maps and Search. Google does this all the time and it drives me insane. They make something that works great then once they get enough users they abandon it.

I’m completely ignorant on this, so any changes we need to make to our Google business page gets edited through Maps now?
Not quite yet. But once they stop supporting the app, then yes.

My last two inquires kept routing me thru Maps, didn’t realize this was going to be a permanent change. It’s a lot harder and no where near as user friendly from the business side. I haven’t figured out how to use Maps to see my business page yet, I just follow the link to answer messages.
