Google AdWords

Good question Jesse. The big expense in adwords is in setting up the campaign. I use to charge agencies $400 just for the KW research. Literally takes a full 10 hour day to do it right and I have a lot of tools. Then it takes another full day to actually build out the ad campaign right, building 2 ads per kw. So even a relatively small campaign may have 500 - 1000 ads. Once all that’s done, then the monitoring takes about about an hour a month. I’ve still have clients I do that for and charge between $100 - $200/month. Because if it’s built right, other than some minor tweaking, not a whole lot to do if you know what you’re looking for.

I don’t know my roi for ad words off the top of my head. I’ve only been using them for about 6 months and in that time I’ve landed multiple large jobs from thier campaigns plus a steady flow of leads in general. So unfortunately I can’t give you an exact number, it varies. I’m only spending $500/ month so that’s 1 to 2 jobs max. I manage to stay booked out at least a week or two with crew of 2-4 with no other advertising other than decent organic search and send jim for returning customers. Plus it is without a doubt the easiest advertising I’ve ever done. I literally don’t do a thing. I pay them. The phone rings. Works for me.

I’ve consulted google adwords for many power washing companies. Every business can be different when it comes to adwords. I would focus a lot on negative keywords keywords as well if you haven’t already. I have a list of about 500 words associated with power washing you NEVER want to show up for. Also make sure your keywords are relevant to your ad. For example:

+roof +power +washing → Roof Power Washing Experts- Homeowner Trusted For 24 Years

This will increase your quality score. The way google rates the ranking on how high on the page you will be and how much you will pay per click depends on your bid and your quality score. " Quality score comprises of how relevant your ad is, how relevant your site is, and how likely is someone to click. It’s possible for a person that is lower on the search page to pay more.

Ex:
Company 1 - 1st spot - $3 bid x 8 QS = 24
Company 2- 2nd spot - $5 bid x 4 QS = 20
Company 3 - 3rd spot - $10 bid x 1 QS =10

Of course there’s a few other factors that decide how much you will pay but that’s the simple way to explain it. If you want some help I don’t mind sharing some more valuable info. My 1st one hour strategy session is free. You can email me at jmedina@varemar.com if you need some help
