Was ordering some equipment for a new build and came across this sale on meg nozzles and figured I would share: Quarter Inch Meg Nozzles
Make sure they have the vanes in them if for a surface cleaner
How would I know? I already ordered them… but I have bought these before for my SC with no issues
Redacted- @Racer explained below
Thank you!
@aviationflyguy - Not even close. The top ones are just v shaped nozzles that give you a flat spray, which is what you need for a lot of applications. The imeg with the vane has a more precise spray - Think steak knife vs a butter knife. The vanes see pic below reduce the turbulence within the nozzle itself. The result is a the same pressure you get more cleaning power. Has a sharper spray.
If you order a whisper wash, the Imeg nozzles come standard in them’
Here’s Googles AI definition
AI Overview
A Meg nozzlle is a standard high-pressure wash jet nozzle, while an IMEG nozzle is a specially designed nozzle with a patented design that delivers a significantly higher impact per unit area compared to a MEG nozzle, making it ideal for demanding cleaning applications where maximum cleaning power is needed, typically used in high-pressure car washes; essentially, an IMEG nozzle provides a more forceful spray than a MEG nozzle at the same pressure and flow rate.
Key points about the difference:
- Impact:
IMEG nozzles are designed to produce a higher impact force than MEG nozzles, meaning they can more effectively remove stubborn dirt and grime.
- Application:
Both are used in high-pressure washing applications, but IMEG nozzles are often preferred for situations where a more aggressive cleaning action is required.
- Design:
The internal design of an IMEG nozzle is optimized to create a more concentrated and powerful spray pattern compared to a standard MEG nozzle.
This is from a post I made here in Feb 2022. Do your research guys
If you have some calipers, check the height of the nozzle itself and compare to what was in there vs what the new ones are. The IMEG nozzles, which is what you want, measure .9" tall, whereas a standard MEG nozzle measures 1" tall. You want the IMEG because they give you more impact and a more consistent pattern. A lot of places sell the MEG because they’re cheaper and most pressure washers don’t know the difference since they basically look the same. We’re only talking a couple of dollars @ difference on something that’s going to last you a long time.

In all honesty, for a lot of people, it may not make much difference to most customers, because concrete is going to look better than it did before, no matter what you clean it with. But if you’re a little more OCD or clean a lot of tough jobs, every little advantage helps. They cost a little more and because of the fineness, they will clog a little easier if you’re not careful. But you hear it all the time, people finally step up and get a whisper wash and they rave about how much better it cleans. The tips are probably a big part of it, which they include standard on their machines.
