Good Deal for Full-timer?

Thank you for the informative post. Hate when people just say something is garbage without justifying why.

Thanks Racer. That was the type of information I was looking for! I added up the costs as well and came up a little less than your number but the price didn’t seem out of line.
I will take you up on the offer. My kids soccer tournament was cancelled for this weekend and there is a Colombian restaurant in Greenville that my wife loves. Any plans Saturday or Sunday? I’m buying…

  1. My point was not about the money but the equipment as I stated in another reply. 2) I never made excuses. Just pointed out that I don’t have (or want to spend) my limited free time building my own trailer. 3) If I landed a $12k to $13k job I would go buy the rig today.
  2. You contributed nothing worthwhile to the conversation 5) Have fun filling the orders for trailers.

Hi TDC Services, I set up my PW company over here in Cyprus 4-5 months ago, had no intention of “going indoors” but I have been getting more and more requests to do new build / handover cleans, don’t really have any idea how to price them, by the sq mtr? by the number of days? cost + ? I have a 100 room hotel on the books and have just quoted today for a 75 room hotel, not bad but I think im too cheap ! if I could tap in to your experience I would be really grateful

I can’t speak to this specific setup but I bought a used BCE built system with the EFI Kohler’s and overall it was a good build. One thing I would do is insist they put Deckover, Line-Ex etc on the decking. I need to pull everything off mine and do that but have never had enough downtime from jobs to do it unless it is freezing or raining. The other thing is the mix tank in my system has a drain on it. You do not want a drain on your mix tank. A small leak will eat through the decking (see first note) and if set up like mine you won’t see it until it is a problem. Then it will break at a customers and your scrambling to plug the hole, flush everything, not look like a moron etc. I have the wire mesh and while it’s probably kept something from bouncing out of the trailer at one point or another it also makes accessing things inconvenient and it rusts.

Good morning fellas! I sleep in 1 hour and im getting peppered with silliness here lol. What I’m saying is you don’t need an 18 thousand dollar rig to clean stuff when your transitioning to full time. In his eyes this should be exciting news and not taken as criticism. Let’s all put our business hats on and think about the ROI that 12-13k put towards marketing will bring in the early stages. @TDCServices think long and hard about the advice I’ve given you, I’m expecting fireworks to go off once you realise :sunglasses:

I’ve contributed heaps, you Just haven’t processed.

@Hotshot just for you I’ll even include a roll of that hose sleeve you want. I’ll give it a 1 week warranty on wear and tear :joy:

Yeah, @pressureguy has one heck of a trailer for sale.

I feel like I’m missing something here.

Rick, you are the man.
You always are

@MuscleMyHustle This was the useful post (not the BS one earlier talking about excuses). Thanks for the thoughts on marketing versus equipment spending.
