Golf scorecards advertising?

Has anyone advertised on golf scorecards? I was asked if I would like a 1/3 spot on a golf scorecard, $395 for the year. Is it worth it?

I can’t see any reason nor time I have ever used a golf scorecard as a business reference. You would be better off writing thank you cards to your previous clients. A hand written note. That will cost you less in postage and get you more business than any scorecard will.

That’s what I was thinking, in a perfect world it would work out nicely but I can’t see myself getting a lot or any work from it.

I’ve received the same type of marketing requests by local business magazines. Sometimes it seems enticing but then I remember what I normally do when I get those same magazines in the mail. Straight in the trash. I’ve been lucky enough to not need a marketing budget and 90% of work is from word of mouth and repeat customers.

RUN. It’s a company that manages it all, gives golf courses free ■■■■ that YOU pay for, half the time they done even use the stuff that you give to them. I’ve been called it least 5 times this month about it… not a company you want to deal with

Thank you for the heads up. I was not getting a good vibe from them. They called talked to me and I asked them to send me some information and the next day they were emailing and calling again saying that they needed a pressure washing company to fill a spot, but the thing is there are a ton of other companies around me. You would think that if they needed someone that they would just call the next on the list.

When I’m out in the boat in the open water, the idea is to get away from the day to day pattern of thinking. I imagine golf would be the same and they couldn’t care less about exterior cleaning.

My same thoughts and I am sure that it is something that they just throw out at the end of the game, its not like they bring it home and have it posted on their refrigerator.

It’s really hard to sale your service to someone who isn’t looking for it.
