So I’ve been asked to bid my first commercial job. This is white concrete blocks. They want it cleaned and re-painted. It is about 4,196 sq Ft or 1,049 feet long by 4 feet tall. Is it best to charge by the sq FT or the foot? And what would be a good price for the one you would charge for?
I’m just here for the wash, somebody else is doing the painting.

What are you removing? Where is the water coming from? Where is the water going to go? What tools will you use to clean it?
basically Removing dirt and grime. Water will come from the water faucet(there are several along the way) to my buffer tank. The water will go down the drain and I figured I would use a pressure washer and a hand wand. 
I know some soap and SH mix will be fine for the dirt and grime.
How many people will be Powerwashing this and how long do you think it will take to complete the job?
At this point I am still building the business and am still a 1 man operation. Only have one Pressure washer and trailer(Still dont have hose reels yet! its slowing me down…) I would guess by myself it wouldn’t take more then 5-6 hours…
Ok. Sounds pretty fast cause your dealing with a 1/5 of a mile cleaning job but if your mix is strong enough and the stains aren’t to stubborn it can be done. So forget what people charge for something like this.
How much an hour you want to make that’s realistic enough for you to land this Job? That’s what I would go by in your shoes.
I’m doing a very similar job tomorrow for an HOA but it’s about 3’ unpainted brick wall with wooden fence above, just cleaning bricks and about 20 Columbs. I’m using 5.5 gpm 190* hot water 200’ feel and 550gal tank filled by fire hydrant. Using turbo nozzle after hitting with strong SH down steamed. 2 men on the job and we should be done in 4 hours. +- I charged 1200.00. I’ll let you know my time tomorrow night if I remember to open this app.
