@ Micah Kommers Are you suggesting I try it over the Simple Cherry?
I think I will give it a shot either way. I have been happy with the Simple
Cherry but you bring up a good point by less SH and also less smell, which
can be huge.
I just scheduled a stucco job today. I haven’t done one yet with my new system.
What do you guys suggest for a mix ratio on stucco? With vinyl I’ve gone the standard
2.5 gal of SH to 2.5 gal of water w/8oz Simple Cherry.
Not yet. I was out washing yester day and habit kept pouring same amount in bucket. Will try less today if I remember to cut my bleach. Just so darn spoiled with very fast results using strong mix.
Have you tried lowering your bleach yet?
We did a nasty EIFS house and I cut the bleach down the 25% with the Fresh Wash and it still cleaned up. I was impressed.
Who is your chemical supplier, Micah? I have called a few places, and they sell in minimum orders of 500 gallons. Where can I buy just 1 or 2 55 gal drums?
I stopped using 55 gal drums. Now I just get the 5 gal jugs. In my opinion they are much easier to handle. By doing this we have eliminated the need to have a dedicated sh tank on our trailer or having to pump from a 55 gal drum to a holding tank. Right now we are using an avg of 65 gals of sh a week. Yes we pay a little extra for the 5 gal jugs but to me the ease of handling is worth it.
Cleaned a roof on June 18th. Had 20 gallons left. Went to clean a roof today, checked the mix, and it was still hot. That,s 11 days in 90 plus degree heat. FreSHwash keeps your mix freSH.
Ok I’ve been told again by another distributor to try fresh wash From www.powerwash.com Were using right now over 150 gallons a week of chlorine pool shock (pallet of 32-5gal chlorine containers). Things clean fast but the smell and the breathing difficulties where causing ourselves and some of the clients we deal with(mostly in this case senior citizens) it’s time to try this fresh wash stuff.
I think Michael K. Says in this thread that he hates to mess with his proven house wash… Same here because we have a system in place that cleans fast with excellent results that is more on the health danger end… So let’s see if this fresh wash can alter the smell of the chlorine as much as what I read here. I already committed to try another persons environmental cleaning chemical because some jobs they ask for more environmental correct cleaning soaps, and knowing that we probably lost a bid that I had pretty much locked up until I demoed with chlorine in a closed building wasn’t cool, it’s time to try some other methods.
We are now using Fresh Wash with all our house washes. The lemon scent knocks out enough of the chlorine smell and the sticking power of the fresh wash is pretty impressive as well. On a scale of 1-4 stars it gets a solid 4 rating. It’s not to over powerful, it does alter the chlorine smell and you can use a little bit less of chlorine in your mix. We put in around 10oz into our washing mix and the cost factor is cheaper then the soaps we were adding in.
