There’s a company near me that applies some kind of preventative wax to houses/pool cages to mitigate mold/algae growth. Anyone use this method or know anything about it? Does it work?

I had a lady ask about this yesterday. Apparently there’s someone on FB advertising house washing for $150, or $200 with the preventative treatment.
She rolled up on me in the middle of a job, so without really thinking how it might sound, I just said, “Snake oil!” Then proceeded to explain my house washing process, and that most of my customers only have me back every other year. We’ll see if she calls, lol
Probably is but this lady was persistent about it. Must had then that ad and “just had to have it”
