Anyone try and remove flexi seal from vinyl siding?
My mom, for whatever reason, decided to try and spray flexi seal from her deck onto her gutters because they were leaking (not leaking). Needless to say a bunch of stuff got on the siding. I followed their recommendation of a citrus based cleaner, didn’t do much. I did have more success with scraping the majority off with a putty knife, then scrubbing it with a stiff bristled brush after citrus based cleaner and dwell time. The problem is that it is still in the graining of the vinyl. Other than digging each bit out with a knife does anyone else have a suggestion. I was thinking maybe an acetone. Where I did scrub really hard it left a little residue on the siding.
I went up and sealed her leaking gutter, but it wasn’t leaking. The gutter installer never used a drip edge so it is rolling down the roof shingles and going behind the gutter onto the aluminum fascia making it look like the gutter is leaking. So now I have another job to do. That clown isn’t returning calls.
