Fixing small spots on paint (Truck)

Been putting it off, but there are some spots on my truck that have been nicked and paint is gone and rust starting to show.

Id say there are like 12-15 spots on the hood/around windshield. Most are size of pen head, one spot is size of pencil eraser.

Any advice on what i can do on my own to help cover/keep from getting worse?

I was thinking the little tubes of color matching paint and just clean/dry areas and apply it… i dont know

@Hotshot i imagine you see some chipped paint with those fancy trucks your around.

Look up a product called Dr. Colorchip. There should be different levels of it. You probably only need three basic package. It’s not the cheapest but it’s arguably the best.

Yeah man ,lots of chipped up trucks ,especially on the front fenders, but everything we wash is aluminum and fiberglass, no rust. You definitely wanna get that truck cancer fixed before it spreads, they got chip paint pens and bottles of it with a nail polish applicator with rust killer added in.
I’m going to roll on rhino liner on my bottom of my GMC. Mine is chipping bad as well, even with fender flares. Price we pay to be DRP man…

No clue those big things were fiberglass.

Mainly we wash peterbuilt 379’s, the whole entire hood, cab and sleeper birth are 100% aluminum, top of sleeper has a fiberglass lid.

If Jesus drove an 18 wheeler it would be a 379 Pete.
