First job done

Just did my first paid job.
I am very happy with it. Did learn some lessons.

  1. need a hat and a respirator.
  2. wasted a lot of chemicals.
Though it’s my friend, and he only paid me $50.
Overall, I enjoyed it very much.
Thanks to everyone who have given me much help.

Looks great. Yes hat to block sun and chems.

I’m glad you are happy about it. But I see a lot of areas that need improving.
It was hard to tell which was the before and after.
BTW, those Christmas icicle lights are now toast. Should’ve taken them down first.

such as?

I’m not going to pick it a part and give every little thing I see wrong but:
In the top pic on the left, I can still see organic growth under the lap, above the garage doors.
Many times you have to have a sweeping motion coming from underneath to kill that stuff.
And on the bottom right pic, it looks like you got too close with pressure to the right of that vent below the windows. I see a sweep coming up from the bottom to the left, and I still see staining on the siding below that.
Please don’t take my words as criticism to you as a person. Don’t get butt hurt, I don’t mean it that way.
Be your own worst critic.
I’ll let the other guys tell you about the other things they see.
If you and the customer are happy, then have at it. But I can see room for improvement.

Thats the kind of honesty i come here for. The people here really do try to help and give honest advice. Im more worried about doing a good job than keeping my feelings in tact. Thanks for honest posting NewGuy89
