First gutter clean

Ok so I have my first two story gutter cleaning job. I think they might be fairly dirty so here is what I plan on doing. Anyone please chime in if you have some good advice.

My plan. I have a 24 foot telescopic pole im going to use so I do not need a ladder. I also have a gutter hook so I can blast some water down the dlwn spouts first. Then I will follow up with my gutter tool with two turbo nozzles facing away from each other to clean them out. Then I will come back to the down spouts to finish them out.

So I am not using any gutter cleaning or gutter unclogging soulutuon…can anyone with experience give me some advice?

A pressure washer has no place in cleaning gutters. I wand with nozzles will blow crud all over the roof and make a huge mess. It is hard to blow, rake or pick up wet leaves. Put the ladder up, get on the roof and blow the gutters out with a handheld blower and be sure to stick it down the downspouts. Get down and blow the debris into a natural area or bag it. We do a few thousand gutter cleanouts a year and this works for us.

The pitch of his roof is really steep so I really dont want to put me or my employees at risk. And he has lots of little gutters. There isnt really one long piece in any particular place.

I have the dual turbo nozzle attachment you are talking about, its works amazing, it will remove the trees that we have growing in gutters along with any tennis balls or birds nests… But like mentioned before, it blows all over the siding… We only clean gutters as an ass-on to housewashing…

Thanks for all the inputs. How do you deal with clogged downspouts? Remove them then clean or just keep working on them until they give in per say.

I use a 5 foot polybraid hose bare on one end and a hose barb with quick connect attached to garden hose. Just turn on the water and give it a few reams The last resort is taking apart downspout. Carry a cordless drill with a small bit, to drill out rivets, if there are any and replace with gutter screws. You can also ream the hose up from the bottom, if the clog is lower. Clogs are almost always in the elbows.

Ralph… you know that makes so much sense after some one else tells you. Haha but that seems like such an easy fix now that you had to tell me. Thanks.

Can’t remember we’re I got it, but most places have them. 50’ jetter hose and drain jetter nozzle. Attach to gun with quick connect.
