Hello guys, i moved to a new market last season and am getting a lot of calls for brick. Everything before has been vinyl. Im including some photos of this first job.
Are these electric lines anything to be concerned about? Ive read the previous forum posts and it looks like most guys just work around this area.
Do you typically charge more for brick than vinyl? The back of the house has the stains, and to me they look organic, so i planned a standard house wash mix as a first approach.
Thanks for any help. Im continuing to study the forum on brick cleaning as there is a demand in my new market.
I’m fairly new to cleaning brick. Just did a house earlier this week. I was amazed at how well the organic stains came clean. I used my normal housewash mix with a bit more surfactant. I recommend starting with standard mix and working up if needed. I downstream and carry an xjet in case I need a hotter mix.
I might be wrong here but I thought I read that you should use less or no surfactant at all on brick. Reason being is the rough surface of the brick helps to hold the sh in place. If too much surfactant is used it takes forever to rinse.
I’m sure others will jump in who have more experience than me.
Anyone have thoughts on those electric lines running in the house? Common sense is telling me just clean the house and avoid those particular areas and give a few feet buffer around them.
