Fimco 12v Pump - Tractor Supply

I know most of you guys have an extra pump for when the one on the rig inevitably goes bad… Most of the search results on “fimco” bring up that the tanks are crap. I don’t see anything on the pumps…

Anyone used these? I’m thinking of worst case … When I’d have to run out and quick find a pump if something happened. Seems like shipping times from most online retailers is really just a guess on when the item actually gets delivered.

I’ve used the Tractor Supply / Fimco 2gpm pumps before with my full time job with the local town. We use them to attach to a 25 gallon spray tank to spray some pretty harsh herbicides out of and they’ve held up okay I suppose. We don’t regularly flush them in any way, shape, or form. When we start spraying sidewalks in our town, it can take upwards of a week to spray them all and we won’t bother to rinse at the end of each day. If they last us 6 months and we have to replace them we are okay with that.

For use in an emergency to get a job done, I see no reason as to why it wouldn’t work for you.

In my small, part time washing business I use the 4gpm bleach armor unit from Northern Tool. It has a replaceable head cartridge that takes about 5 minutes to replace in the field. For about $35, I have one sitting under the back seat of the truck if in the event I need it. I do regularly rinse this pump at the end of each job/day.

Spend the extra $40 and get the northern tool 5.5 gpm. Comes with a 2 year warranty which is unbeatable. Mine has lasted for 4 months and held up well but I’m very religious about flushing the pump and hoses. Don’t have any experience with the TSC pumps but its absolutely worth the 40 coins.

This one is made specific for bleach, northern tool is manager dependant on standing by their warranty on pumps. spend 10$ more and not have to lie when they ask if you use it with bleach

Seems like it’s better to just order a few and wait the crazy shipping times/backorder times. I guess in a pinch at least I know TS has something that will at least help me get the job finished lol.
