when cleaning a fence even if youre only cleaning the side that is visible when standing in your customer’s backyard i am sure that some overspray gets behind into their neighbors back yard. would you tell each bordering neighbor what you are doing and that you’ll rinse off their yard? ive never heard or read anyone talk about this issue that may arise. you could also drop a business card off with them on your way out.
I just did a fence like that. Yes to all those things. Being courteous to the neighbors will always be the right thing to do, and could lead to more jobs either directly or through word of mouth, “The pressure washer was nice enough to let me know…blah blah.” Make sure your name and number are visible to the neighbors when you’re doing the job and you might have a voicemail when you get finished.
