Looking for feedback on oil changes. Using 4 GPM Pressure Washer now from Simpson. No issues so far with downstreaming. Machine only has 15 hours of use and seems to be working perfectly, for now. I’ve already changed engine oil once not pump oil. Manufacturer recommends changing pump oil at 50 hours first time. After that it’s 100 hours of use. This wasn’t my first choice machine however my buddy needed cash and sold it to me for $400. Considering it was still in the box I feel as though I got a great deal. Guys chime in please and let me know how often you change your oil.
I changed the pump oil on my 4/4200 after about three months if use, probably not necessary. It was a bit dark however.
This reminds me I need to change my oil in the predator… current oil has about a hundred hours on it and I can smell that cash @squidskc promised me if it make it 3 years burning…

Oil and filter every 100 hours. Pump oil every couple thousand hours, and probably not that often

I’m sure it was. My buddy changes his after each season, just adding oil when low. Probably the reason why his pumps go and machines are constantly in shop. I’ve told him to many times but hey some people just seem to be gluttons for punishment.
I thought you changed motor oil every 40 hours?

2400 hours is darn good!
Yes but look at the R/R governor at 2100 hours. I’m happy with anything over 2500 hours. That’s a year and a half or two years.

And it should be 2588 but it looks like I kept writing a 4 instead of 5 on the last two oil changes lol

I have same machine as you use William. Pretty much brand new, 100hrs. Should I change pump fluid earlier for first initial break in?
Change pump oil at 50 hours then forget it.

Hi William, I got a question. I run same machine as you. I have a pulsation/vibration in the line. Loss of volume and height when I spray. I switched out guns, took out injector and still the same. Is this sign unloader bad? 250hrs on Machine. Thank you for any info. Dan

You can get Sharpies that write in white or silver for the black engines.
People that use white sharpies probably eat pizza and don’t tuck their shirt tails in. I don’t need that in my life.
