Faded Front Door

This is why I always walk around and take pics before I start washing. Last house I noticed it at, he had the lil pest control yard sign still out front, so he couldn’t say no lol

Of course, it’s always better when you notice it first and point it out to the customer and say “I noticed this before we started washing. Have you recently had a pest control guy out?” On a few occasions, I’ve had to say I’ve got pics from before, then they get silent and kinda slump away lol

I always take 4 high resolution pictures of each side from a distance, of house and landscaping. I’ve shut many many people up with photos. Best way to avoid back and forth blame game.

Often times there not home and I’m not getting paid for an extra hour to chase there tail, if I’m contracted to wash I’m going to wash. That’s why I take photos. Almost every house has something worth snapping a photo of.

Pictures of everything before is a must for me to.

The original poster above didn’t wash the house. He said he just washed the composite deck so would explain why only the bottom of the door got it.

My bad, I missed that part lol!

This part has me confused though. Around here, everyone calls it a front porch and a back deck. Not a front deck. Maybe it’s composite decking on a front porch?

Maybe it’s a wrap around front porch to back deck

This happened to me one time last year, we actually made it a point to stay away from a blue door and stucco mix overspray still hit it. It had dried. What I did (this may not work for you and may be considered bad advice so take it with a grain of salt) was get my microfiber rag and dip it in the stucco 2% mix bucket. I wiped the entire door down and it actually all went away. But more than likely it just evened out all the lightness. It looked great when we were done but wouldn’t recommend making a habit of that. It probably changed the color of it all so it was even so you couldn’t tell. I clean doors with my wfp and di water now. Too much to risk with going into the house and this kind of thing happening.

Edit: but honestly the best thing to do in this case is repaint it because it will be a lighter color. It just depends on if she likes the new color or not!

Thank you all for your reply

It has a composite “porch” on the front.
