Facebook video advertising

Is this the add we were just talking about on the phone?

Yes. Thank you for all the great advice.

Reviving this topic from last June. Here’s our latest vid for Facebook. If you have any new ones post them up, I love seeing all the creativity.

Great shield idea

I gave up on fb ads. The next time I do it I’ll pay someone as a last attempt. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. I add video content often to my page.

I guess I didn’t mean actual paid advertising but just video content. I’ve already booked two jobs off this video from friends sharing it.

@Steve, video wouldn’t play for some reason but I love the shield. Sometimes simple ideas make a big difference. Is that just a piece of plywood? I always dread cleaning brick walls or steps because I inevitably get covered in grit and muck.

Not sure why the video wouldn’t play, it does for me. That shield is a piece of “corplast” which is what most yards signs are made of. It’s very light and easy to maneuver. That is actually an old political road sign that I had laying around. In my mind it’s easier than a heavy, hot rain suit. I’d prefer a rubber apron but can’t find one long enough.

@Steve check out an app called Quik . I used it to put together these videos in under 20 minutes.

That’s pretty cool. I’m using Wondershare on a desktop. I’ve seen Quik videos before. I’ll check it out. Thanks.

Anyone have drone videos to share for filming ideas? I just grabbed a drone for shooting.

My cousin is a professional photographer and has some serious equipment. He came down here last month and shot us for a full day doing roofs, houses and driveway. I was sure to schedule nice houses that day. I still haven’t seen the end results but I’m excited to. I’ll probably upgrade my website and use it there and on Facebook. If I ever slow down I want to run a tv ad. It’s $160 for 30seconds during judge Judy and Ellen. And up for higher viewed show. I didn’t give my cousin direction but I told him I for sure wanted some time lapse from above during the roof cleaning.

How many of your good customer res watch Judge Judy and Ellen ? Lol

I know who does…the old lady at the condo yesterday we were washing that was trying to get a free front porch cleaning and proceeded to get snotty and slam her door when we said “unfortunately we can only do the work we were contracted to do by the management company”

End of rant lol

You have a valid point lol.

They’re usually at work. Might have to re-evaluate that idea. I washed the guys house that works for the channel and he gave me all the info. I thought it would cost more then it does.

I’ve used drones for years filming our hunts in Africa. I used to build them until DJI came out with the “drone for dummies” (Phantom) that you can hardly crash. The sky is the limit on what you can do with those things. lol

So I got the first one home and the battery was bad. Went and exchanged it and got the new one going right at dark. Took it outside and launched it anyway. Took it up a couple hundred feet and drove around. Was fun! Excited to fly around tomorrow.

I’ve got a Phantom Pro. Check out Ken Heron on YouTube.

They had the magic pro on sale at my Walmart for $745. The phantom was still a grand. I like the small size when it’s collapsed.

I would love to have a Mavic pro 2, but my Phantom flies so well I can’t really justify the cost. I added carbon fiber props for added maneuverability. Not sure if they have those for the mavic or not but look into it.
